Can you help?

We're looking for volunteers to help administer the charity. Your background may be financial, fundraising, welfare, caring, general management or similar.

Your commitment should be up to possibly one day per week, together with occasional short term tasks of a special nature in accordance with your experience.

Your reward will be knowing you are doing something positive for the more than 30,000 carers (and those for whom they care) resident in Croydon - helping to make a real difference to improving their lives. For further information please contact us or fill in our volunteer application form.  Once filled in, you can drop it in or mail to us at Croydon Carers Centre Ltd, 12 Katharine Street, Croydon, CR0 1NX.

Help for those helping others

Official figures show that one in eight of the adult population of Croydon is a carer, totalling over 33,000. Our aim is to provide advice and support to those carers, making their voices heard and raising their issues.

If you are looking after a relative, friend or neighbour who is elderly, ill or disabled, we may be able to help to you.

We provide among other things:

  • Advice for carers about matters relating to caring, including the benefit system
  • A telephone helpline
  • Interpreter and language access
  • Individual counselling and support groups
  • Day trips by coach and minibus
  • Outreach projects, including a mobile information service
  • Exciting initiatives: click here to see the latest.

If you are a carer or know someone who is, download a membership form to join our charity. There is no fee to join.
